Sorin Ilie

Sorin graduated from medical school in Romania, at the University of Medicine Timisoara, in 1992. He then completed a five year residency in Internal Medicine at the Municipal Hospital Timisoara in Romania. In late 1998, Sorin and his wife came to the United States. He spent six years in California working at the UC Davis Health System as a Lab Assistant and Clinical Coordinator. In early 2006, Sorin moved to San Antonio and worked as a Referral Coordinator at Cancer Therapy and Research Center (CTRC at UT Health Science Center San Antonio) before joining CanThera.

Sorin enjoys working with patients and helping them understand the process of their treatment. Eventually he wants to obtain US medical license and practice medicine again. In his spare time he enjoys traveling and doing various activities with his family.
