Let Us Know Immediately If:

Some symptoms might be a sign of a serious problem and require immediate attention. IF THIS IS AN EMERGENCY, CALL 911 BEFORE YOU CALL US!

Call us immediately – day or night – if you have any of the symptoms listed below:

• You are receiving chemotherapy and have fever of 100.4 or higher
• You have shaking chills
• You have diarrhea for more than 12 hours despite taking anti-diarrheal medications as instructed by us
• You have diarrhea for less than 12 hours but it is either severe or accompanied by cramping, vomiting or abdominal pain
• You have constipation accompanied by nausea, vomiting or abdominal pain
• You have nausea not controlled by medications
• You have signs of bleeding: blood in your urine, bloody or black tarry stools, blood in your sputum, nose or gum bleeding
• You are in pain
• You have shortness of breath or chest pain
• You develop severe headache, dizziness or changes in your vision or hearing
• You or your family notice that you have become lethargic, somnolent or confused
• Any other symptoms that developed acutely and make you worried

Call us as soon as possible if

• You are receiving chemotherapy and have sore throat, pain in the mouth or mouth sores
• You have new swelling of your arms or legs
• You have constipation which does not resolve with laxatives
• You are unable or unwilling to eat and drink fluids
• You feel weak
• You have new pain in the spine, hips or other bones
